TexasBank Court at the Brownwood Coliseum will have a new look for Howard Payne volleyball and basketball events this season.

The floor, which was introduced prior to the 2007-08 school year, was scheduled for maintenance and the opportunity to modify the color scheme presented itself.

Changes to the paint scheme include:

• The lanes are no longer blue as they have been replaced by a brownish tint a few shades darker than the wood on the remainder of the floor.

• The ‘Buzzsaw’ graphic in the middle of the floor is no longer a watermark, but instead the same stain used for the lanes.

• The block HPU logo in the middle of the court has been removed, as have the old American Southwest Conference logos. The new ASC logos adorn the floor, as well as NCAA logos, but there is no longer a midcourt logo.

• Also, “Howard Payne University” at each end of the court is in a new font, but a similar shade of yellow.

The Howard Payne Lady Jackets volleyball team will play the first game on the revamped floor on Sept. 18 against Concordia.
