COLEMAN — Services for Elizabeth Rose Cook, 104, will be at 1 p.m. today at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev, John Stanislaw officiating, with the Rev. Daniel Stovall assisting. Burial will follow at Burkett Cemetery.
She died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012.
She was born in 1908 in Burkett. She was married to Dred (Red) Cook in Talpa in 1927. He retired from the oil field In 1950 and bought a cotton farm near Seminole. She had lived in Coleman for the past 41 years, 19 of them as a widow.
Survivors include two daughters, Idell and husband K.R Burson, and Charlotte Rose and husband David Sundstrom; son, Ken Cook and wife Brenda; six grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
