Early voting for the Nov. 6 general election will open on Monday next week, and Brown County voters who plan to mark ballots early this year will have additional hours to accomplish the task.

Early voting will be held Oct. 22 through Nov. 2 at Adams Street Community Center, location of the Brown County Elections Administration Office. Normal weekday hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but four days with extra hours have also been scheduled, according to Suzy Young, county elections administrator.

Early voting will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the final two days of the two-week early voting period, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 1-2.

Weekend hours are also planned in the middle of the two-week span, giving Brown County voters a total of 12 days on which to choose a time to cast ballots early. Young hopes that will also eliminate any excuses county residents have regarding the convenience of the voting hours.

Early voting hours will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27.

The hours will be from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28.

Voting hours on election day, Nov. 6, will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Polls will be scattered throughout the county, and a list will be published closer to the election date.
