BIG LAKE — The playoff-bound Bangs Lady Dragons improved to 13-11 overall and finished District 6-2A action at 4-2 thanks to Tuesday’s 25-9, 25-12, 25-17 win over Reagan County.

Jaylee Roberts recorded nine kills followed by six kills and three aces from Kinsie Ward. Cheyenne Lovelady distributed 18 assists and served a team-high seven aces, while Kassidy Adams chipped in five aces and Kylie Allen added five digs.

“The Lady Dragons and the coaching staff want to thank our fans and Bangs ISD for such spirited support,” said Lady Dragons first-year head coach Colleen Westfall. “We finished with a strong win and have had a chance to reflect on how far we’ve advanced from the first day of practice. We’ve grown into a solid team and we’re excited to advance to the state playoffs. We’re ready to take the next step we have worked hard to accomplish.”

Bangs is slated travel to Albany at 5 p.m. Tuesday in their final match of the regular season, then bi-district playoff action will take place either Oct. 29 or Oct. 30.
