GOLDTHWAITE — The Early Lady Horns and Longhorns continued to gear up for Monday’s District 6-2A cross country meet in Coleman by competing at the Priddy Invitational earlier this week.

For the Lady Horns, a pair of runners finished in the Top 5 among the 150-girl field. Chelsea Johnston paced the Early effort with a fourth-place time of 12:51 followed by Callie Campbell’s fifth-place effort of 12:53.

Also running for the Early girls were Lauren Winborn (51st, 13:58), Rylie McGinnis (86th, 15:01) and Star Womack (104th, 15:22)

For the Longhorns, Grant Gowdy came in 20th with a time of 18:40 and Christopher Martin was clocked at 19:32 to finish 35th among the field of 76 runners.
