SAN ANGELO — The Brownwood Lady Lions golf team competed at the San Angelo Classic over the weekend, finishing eighth with a two-day total of 918. The Lady Lions carded a 458 team score on Friday, followed by a 460 composite score Saturday.
Lady Lion Sydney Roberts finished tied for fourth place individually, posting consecutive rounds of 82 for a 164 total. Also competing for Brownwood were Audrey McKillip (123-124=247), Jessica Barrera (121-129=250), Krista Fragua (132-125=257) and Sierra Mendez (141-149=290).
The top three individuals overall were Christian Curnutte of Midland Christian (79-77=156), Malory Hunter of Snyder (82-77=159) and Kayla Johnson of Abilene Wylie (78-82=160).
In the final team standings, Snyder (328-330=658) came out on top trailed by Monahans (356-365=719), Midland Christian (381-370=751), Abilene Wylie (399-409=808), Plainview (398-411=809), Pecos (407-416=823), Dumas (411-432=843) and Brownwood.
The Lady Lions’ next tournament is slated for Feb. 21 at Llano.
