The website for Phillips Edison, the company that owns Commerce Square in Brownwood, shows a Buffalo Wild Wings Grill and Bar as one of Commerce Square's tenants.

According to the website, Buffalo Wild Wings will occupy a 4,655-square-foot building, which is currently empty, on the northeast corner Commerce Square.

The website did not indicate when the restaurant is scheduled to open.

Representatives of the Buffalo Wild Wings corporate office in Minneapolis, Minn. did not return phone calls for comment.

The Phillips Edison website describes Commerce Square as a "163,474-square-foot shopping center anchored by Burkes Outlet, Buffalo Wild Wings and Staples."

Local officials had no immediate comment.

According to the Buffalo Wild Wings website, two longtime friends founded Buffalo Wild Wings in 1982 with one restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. It is now a chain of more than 200 restaurants located in nearly every state.
