Artist of the month for September at Heritage Hall Gallery is artist, Ruth Ann Taylor. Ruth Ann majored in Fine Art Education and Commercial Art at Baylor University where she graduated in 1963. She has taught public school art in Dallas-Jr. High Art; Coleman Elementary Jr. High and private lessons; Cuero Jur High art and San Perlita – all levels K through High School advanced art. She has taught summer art classes in Raymondville, Texas, for two summers and adult classes for 10 years at Raymondville Art League.
Ruth Ann gave a service program for art teachers from all state areas at Rockport, Texas, and was the featured art instructor at Region I Education Center art Exhibit. She has placed three times in the McAllen International Art Show. She has judged various art shows in the valley, Harlingen Jr. League Festival and Rio Grand Valley stock show in Mercedes. She is proud of her students winning art shows throughout the valley.
Ruth Ann has her studio at home and teaches classes in Coleman, Texas. She is a member of the Fine Arts League of Coleman County and co-chair for the upcoming Fiesta de la Paloma Open Art Show.
