A Brownwood couple returned to their south Brownwood home after church Sunday to discover their home had been burglarized and several electronics items were taken.The crime is one of numerous recent burglaries and thefts Brownwood police are investigating, including several thefts at Walmart and other businesses.

Police were dispatched to at least two south Brownwood burglaries on Sunday one in the 1600 block of 16th, where two suspects were identified, and the other in the 1800 block of 17th, where the electronics items were stolen.

In other incidents:

Officer Robert Lee responded Friday to a theft at Walmart. Two suspects fled in a vehicle, and dispatch provided a license plate number. Lee stopped the vehicle and arrested Christian Davis, 19, of Brownwood, and Christopher Jackson, 19, of San Angelo, on theft charges.

Police responded to another theft at Walmart on Friday and arrested 19-year-old Comanche residents Jeremy Mayfield and Monica Zuniga on theft charges.

Officer Brandon Johnson was dispatched Friday to Walmart on a theft call, and a suspect was identified.

Officer Gary Villalpando was dispatched Friday to Walmart, where a man got away with numerous stolen items.

Spruill was dispatched Friday to the 1500 block of Avenue B, where someone took a UPS package off a front porch after the UPS truck left.

Spruill was dispatched Sunday to Kroger, where two females left together after a theft. One of the females put hair and cosmetic items in her purse.

Officer Trey Weathermon was dispatched Friday to the 600 block of Avenue C on a vehicle burglary report.

Officer Kim Holland made a traffic stop Saturday in the 1200 block of Austin and arrested Brenner Nall, 21, of May, on a DWI charge.

Lee was dispatched Saturday to Belmeade and Slayden on a hit-and-run accident. Lee arrested a juvenile.

Officer Brandon Miller was dispatched Sunday to Shelton and Virgil Gray, where someone stole several gallons of diesel fuel from a truck's tanks.

Johnson took a report Sunday on a missing person and arrested Hanner Edgar, 19, of Brownwood, on a charge of sexual assault of a child after an investigation determined a man allegedly had sex with a minor.

Officer Doug Hurt was dispatched Saturday to the 400 block of West Adams on a report of a missing bicycle. Hurt arrested Jason Jenkins, 35, of Brownwood, on a public intoxication charge.

Spruill was dispatched Sunday to 400 block of Main on a disturbance call and arrested Garry Tilley, 42, of Midland, on a public intoxication charge.
