Graveside services for Winona Treadwell will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at the Atwell Cemetery in Callahan County, Texas.

Winona passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, in Hobbs, N.M.

A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at King's Gate Church in Hobbs.

Mrs. Treadwell was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Atwell, Texas. She held a B.A. degree from Howard Payne University. She was married to the love of her life, Maurice Treadwell, for 64 years until his passing in 2007.

Winona was a retired school teacher and missionary to Panama and Brazil. The private school that she founded in Brazil continues to thrive to this day.

Having moved to Hobbs, N. M., in 2009, Grandma Treadwell was a member of King's Gate Church the last four years of her life, where she attended faithfully until the month before her passing.

Mrs. Treadwell is survived by her son, Charles Treadwell and wife Marilyn of Albuquerque, N.M.; her son, Donald Treadwell and wife Kathy of Seagoville, Texas; her daughter, Jeannie Davis and husband Richard of Brownwood, Texas; and her daughter, Barbara Sena and husband Fabian, of Hobbs, N.M. She is also survived by around 20 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Known as a hard working, strong, and faithful woman, she was so proud of her whole family, and she will be missed by all of them.
