BANGS — Celebration of Life Memorial Services for James Eldon “Eddie” Pafford Sr., 80, of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, at the Bangs Church of Christ, with Michael Light officiating. Visitation with family will be held from 1-2 p.m. prior to the services at the church. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, in Oakview Cemetery in Mullin.

He passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in Fort Worth.

He was born May 30, 1933, in Duren Community, in Mills County, to Fred Pafford and Ilene Anderson Pafford. He was married to Cora Oleta Talley on May 25, 1952, in Hamilton. He was a member of the Bangs Church of Christ. He worked as an auto mechanic for 57 years.

Survivors include his wife, Oleta Pafford of Lake Brownwood; children and spouses, James Pafford Jr. and wife Yvonne of Zephyr, Terry Pafford and wife Ellen of Midland, Tammy Waldrip and and husband Lonnie of Mullin, and Edith Leora Jones of Gallup, N.M.; five grandchildren, Christy Edwards and husband Ken of Early, Justin Waldrip of Stephenville, Andrew Pafford of Midland, Shylo Jones of Gallup, N.M., and Steven Jones of Gallup, N.M.; two great-grandchildren, Weldon and Canyon Edwards; sister, Anne Shirley of Brownwood; and nieces and nephews, Ricky Womack, Randy Womack, Tina Harris and Fred Kelly Cowan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Pafford and Ilene Anderson Pafford; sister, Juanita Cowan; and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Pafford.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Camp Fund Bangs Church of Christ.
