Sheriff's deputies, assisted by Early police, interrupted an alleged drug deal Sunday night at a local motel and arrested two women, sheriff's officials said Monday morning.

The two were among six people who were arrested on drug charges since Friday in three unrelated cases.

According to law enforcement reports and Brown County Jail records, the two arrested Sunday night, at the Executive Inn at 1204 C.C. Woodson, were Shawnee Traweek, 37, of Bangs, and Chaplin Delarosa, 26, of Brownwood. They were each charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance over 1 gram under 4 grams. Traweek was also charged with evading arrest, and Delarosa was charged with possession of a dangerous drug.

Deputies arrested three people Friday on drug charges when they went to an apartment on Davis Lane in Brownwood in search of a man with a warrant. Investigator Nathan Land arrested Tara Holland, 32, of Brownwood, Joshua McBride, 35, of Brownwood and Alexis Rodriguez, 32, of Early, on charges of possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram in a drug free zone.

McBride was also charged with hindering apprehension, and Rodriguez was arrested on a warrant to revoke his probation for theft.

Brownwood officer Zane Taylor was dispatched Saturday to the 3500 block of Rhodes on an agency assist. Taylor arrested Desiree Henson, 31, of Brownwood, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous drug, and on a motion to adjudicate for theft.
