Brownwood police expect to make an arrest following an altercation Tuesday afternoon in which a man was allegedly beaten unconscious by a family member.

According to a report by officer Bruce Spruill:

Spruill and officer Kim Holland were dispatched at 2 p.m. to the 400 block of Cordell on an assault call. The officers learned two brothers, ages 58 and 39, had confronted a 19-year-old male relative about his "bad attitude toward everyone."

The younger male picked up a piece of wood from a chair and hit the two brothers in the head, then fled, the officers were told. The younger of the two brothers was knocked unconscious and was taken by Guardian EMS to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Another family member said the 19-year-old has an aggressive attitude ands been out of control. That family member and another person on the scene said they saw the suspect assault the two brothers.
