Bangs ISD recognized the School Board members, at Monday night's meeting, for their many accomplishments over the past year, in conjunction with Texas School Board Recognition Month.
A few of the items noted by Superintendent Bill Foster included, the refinancing of bonds for a savings to the taxpayers of $1.5 million, lowered tax rate, passed "tougher" safety policies, approved the purchase of new turf for Memorial Stadium, purchased new band instruments, and numerous student academic, athletic and extra-curricular achievements.
