Unrelated thefts at Walmart have brought Brownwood police to the store.
Officer Leighton Wyatt was dispatched to the store at 401 W. Commerce on a report that "under-ringing" had caused a loss of $795, and two employees have been identified.
Officer Bryan Greenrich was dispatched to the store on an unrelated theft report. The suspected had a prescription pill in his pocket, police said. Greenrock arrested Paul Price, 40, of Brownwood, on charges of criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance, Brown County Jail records state.
In other incidents:
• Officer Zane Taylor was dispatched to the Food Plaza at 2800 Southside on a report that a juvenile had shoplifted.
• Officer Doug Hurt was dispatched to the 1500 block of Avenue B after a Brownwood Housing Authority employee entered the residence for an inspection. Two young girls were sitting on the couch, and the employee made repeated attempts to awaken the mother, who was in a bedroom behind a locked door.
