Connie Ynostrosa Bosquez was called home after a long illness on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, in San Antonio.
Connie was born on Dec. 21, 1940, in Big Valley (Mills County), to Jose and Esther Ynostrosa. She attended Goldthwaite schools and was a 1962 graduate of Gary's Beauty College in Brownwood. She lived in Dallas where she met and was married to her husband, Joe Bosquez Jr. in June 1964. She returned to Brownwood to care for her parents, work, and raise her family for 30 years until her recent move to San Antonio. She retired from Brownwood ISD in 2011.
Connie was an active member of her church, Primera Iglesia Bautista serving as WMU Director, VBS Director, Sunday School Director and teacher, church treasurer, GA Leader, Christmas program director, and choir member. She was also a volunteer at the Brownwood State School.
Connie is survived by her spouse, Joe Bosquez Jr.; three children, Gina Abad and husband Celso of San Antonio; John Bosquez and wife Janet of San Marcos; Felecia Bosquez of Dallas; two grandchildren, Jessica Rodriguez and Christopher Thompson, both of San Antonio; three great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Rodriguez, Matthew Rodriguez, Alessia Rodriguez, all of San Antonio; her siblings, Pat Ynostrosa of Grand Prairie, Tom Ynostrosa of Big Valley, Cruz Padilla of Goldthwaite, Mike Ynostrosa, of Dallas, Ralph Ynostrosa Sr. of Dallas, Susan Granado of Garland, Roberta Parsons of Saginaw, Lorraine Galindo of Grand Prairie, Josephine Basquez of Fort Worth, Reyes Ynostrosa, Brownwood; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Esther Ynostrosa of Big Valley; her siblings, Norberto Ynostrosa Sr. of Goldthwaite, Mary Griffin of Winters, Santiago Ynostrosa of Big Valley, Helen Ripley of Florida, Jose Ynostrosa Jr. of Fort Worth; her nephews, Tommy Ynostrosa of San Antonio and Rene Arreola of Comanche.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. with prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday at Heartland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, at the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Big Valley Cemetery in Mills County.
