BRADY ? Funeral services for Marvin Van Hoozer, 86, of Brady will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, in Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady, with the Rev. Phil Steinbach officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.

He died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, in Rowlett.

He was born May 18, 1927, in Bluefield, Va., to Isaac Lee Van Hoozer and Elizabeth Mae (Brewster) Van Hoozer. He was married to Wanda Jean Trewitt on April 3, 1953, in Brady. He was a Quality Engineer for E-Systems in Dallas for over 36 years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brady.

Survivors include his son, Steven Lee Van Hoozer of Forney; brother, Fred Van Hoozer of Bluefield, Va.; sisters, Daisy Carroll of Providence, R.I., and Ellen Blakeman of Ohio; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; seven brothers; one sister; and one step-son, Ted Kyle Mitchell.
