Former Brownwood Lion and TCU Horned Frog quarterback Casey Pachall will continue his career professionally for the Canadian Football League’s Toronto Argonauts.
Late Wednesday evening, numerous media outlets began reporting that Pachall signed a three-year deal with Toronto. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Pachall, who could not be reached for comment Thursday, led TCU in career completion percentage (62.9) and ranked third all-time in touchdown passes (52) and passing yardage (5,415).
Toronto won the East Division in the eight-team CFL with an 11-7 record last season. The Argonauts begin their regular season June 9 against Winnipeg. Toronto currently has four other quarterbacks on its roster according to its official website — incumbent starter Ricky Ray, Trevor Harris, Josh Portis and Mitchell Gale.
Pachall was not selected in the NFL draft this past weekend, nor offered a free agent contract as an undrafted rookie.
