Shannon Pittman and Doug Turner exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at NorthRidge Baptist Church, with officiant Doug Hurt. Shannon was escorted by her father.

Shannon is the daughter of Doyle and Marcia Pittman of Early. She graduated from Brownwood High School and Tarleton State University. She is currently employed at Howard Payne University. Doug is the son of Lori Arp of Early and Don and Beth Turner of Brownwood. He graduated from Early High School and Texas State Technical College. He is currently employed at Texas America Safety Company.

Matron of honor was Jill Underwood of Brownwood, friend of the bride. Flower girls were Skyler Wells of Brownwood, and Karsen Pittman of Shreveport, La., both nieces of the bride. Train bearers were Alanna Pittman, niece of the bride, and Kenzie McIntyre of Dripping Springs, cousin of the groom.

Best man was Toby Horton of Owens, friend of the groom. Ring bearers were James Pittman and Tate Pittman, both of Shreveport, La., nephews of the bride. Ushers were Hayden Turner of Early, son of the groom, and Peyton Wells of Brownwood, nephew of the bride. Musicians included pianist James Ervin and Miranda Marsh who sang “The Prayer”.

Members of the house party included Michelle Wells of Brownwood, sister of the bride, Ashley Pittman of Shreveport, La., sister-in-law of the bride, Laurie Kniffen of Flower Mound, sister of the bride, and Carrie McIntyre of Dripping Springs, aunt of the groom.
