BRADY— Funeral services for James Ross “Jim” Wright Jr., 75, of Brady will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the First United Methodist Church in Brady, with Murray Stehle and the Rev. Phil Steinbach officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady.
He died Monday, June 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born Nov. 13, 1938, in Houston, to James Ross Wright Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth (Ruppart) Wright. He was married to Gail Sanderson on Dec. 30, 1969. He was a Detective with the Houston Police Department for 25 years. Members of the First United Methodist Church in Brady. He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Wright of Brady; daughters, Deborah Gail Linnard of Brady, Jean Louise Brooks and husband Kevin of Fenneth, and Callana Kay Gidney and husband Todd of Baycliff; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Ruth Wright.
