DPS Trooper Moody investigated the second rollover accident in Brown County, in as many days, Friday morning.
Emergency personnel from the Lake Brownwood Bridge VFD, Brownwood FD, and Allegiance Ambulance responded to the 8500 block of Highway 279, in front of the Big G Grocery store, where a two-vehicle accident was reported.
According to Moody, the dark green extended-cab Ford F150 was reported to be traveling north on Hwy 279, preparing to drive into the grocery store's parking lot, when the engine stalled. When the driver was able to restart the engine, he immediately continued his left turn, just as the white extended-cab Ford F150 approached, traveling south.
The green pickup's left front struck the third door of the white pickup, directly behind the driver's door, causing it to slide sideways to the right and rollover onto its passenger side, coming to rest in the parking lot.
The Lake Bridge VFD reported the driver of the white pickup was trapped, until extricated by EMS.
The driver of the white pickup reportedly told EMS he was not injured until he attempted to upright the other vehicle by pushing it, alone.
At the time of this report, there was no confirmation on the identity of the drivers, who were lone occupants of their respective vehicles.
