SAN SABA — Graveside services for Norman Clyde Marek, 75, of Richland Springs, will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 14, 2014 at Lawhon Springs Cemetery in Elgin. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba.
He died July 10, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Norman Crossing to William and Etta Marek, went to school in Bandera and moved to Richland Springs in 1993. He spent most of his life ranching.
He is survived by five sons, Dwayne Marek of Leander, James Marek and wife Stephanie of Austin, Norman Marek Jr. of Austin, William Marek and wife Misty of Nashville, Tenn., and Russell Marek and wife Lorain from Kerrville; three daughters, Michelle Newkamp of Leander, Kimberly Daniels of Brownwood, and Edna Marek of Killeen; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Wayne Marek and Wesley Ray Marek; three sisters, Verna Mae Slawson, Bobbie Jean Riedel and LaVaughn McVey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
