The Zephyr Community Historical Association and the Zephyr Volunteer Fire Department are co-sponsoring a community-wide clean-up day Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Large dumpsters will be placed at the Community Center for all residential waste. Items accepted are brush, yard debris, household garbage, metal appliances, automotive batteries and tires, and junk vehicles.

No hazardous material will be accepted and tires are limited to eight per household.

Recyclables will be collected separately, with proceeds benefitting the sponsors.

Myrna Loy Wright, of the Historical Association, said there will be help to unload your trash and debris, at the Community Center.

"Anyone who is available to help is welcomed," Wright said, "and trailers are needed."
