A Lake Brownwood woman was arrested Sunday on an allegation that she pointed a gun at another woman during a family dispute, and her husband was arrested on an allegation that he hid the gun before deputies arrived, a sheriff's report states.
Deputy John Gramling arrested Lisa Moore, 54, on a charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon — family violence and criminal mischief, Brown County Jail records state. Gramling arrested Jeffrey Moore, 51, on a charge of evidence tampering.
According to Gamling's report:
Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 4000 block of Thunderbird Bay on a report of a domestic disturbance in progress. A woman told deputies another woman assaulted her, retrieved a "small shiny pistol" from a truck, loaded the gun, pointed it at her and said "said she was going to blow her (expletive) brains out," Gramling's report states.
The woman who allegedly had the gun said she'd never pointed a gun at anyone and said she hadn't thought there were any guns in the vehicle. The woman's husband admitted there was a firearm in an ammunition box in the truck's toolbox. The man said he'd put it there to keep his wife from being able to use it, and said the gun had not been drawn or removed from its case.
Gramling searched the toolbox and found a loaded .25 caliber semi-automatic pistol, which closely fit the description the complainant had provided. Deputies searched the purse of the arrested woman and found a box of .25 caliber ammunition.
