On Wednesday, July 9, 2014, our beloved brother, Ascension Galvan, 81, crossed over to the other side to reunite with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He died in his home in Brownwood, following a long illness.
Ascension was born on March 25, 1933, in Driscoll, Texas, to Jesus and Maria Galvan.
Ascension worked in Agriculture most of his life. He was a hard worker and enjoyed being outdoors. His hobbies included drawing, wood making, gardening and most of all he enjoyed spending time with family.
Ascension is survived by his sister, Rafaela Garcia, Comanche, Texas; a brother, Trinidad Galvan; and sister, Natividad Vasquez, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Frances Cisneros of Rootstown, Ohio, Angelita Lopez (Jesus Lopez); Maria A. Balderas and Jesusa Perez (Jose Perez) all of Brownwood, Texas. He also leaves behind numerous Nieces and Nephews.
He was precded in death by his parents; brothers, Esau and Julian Galvan.
Ascension was very special and loved by his family. He will be missed but will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 14, at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, in Eastlawn Cemetery
