ALBANY — The Lori Eason coaching era for the Bangs Lady Dragons volleyball program began Thursday with two victories in three matches at the Albany tournament.
Bangs chalked up wins over Gorman (25-22, 25-21) and Ranger (25-14, 16-25, 15-12) before falling to Bronte (25-13, 25-23).
“Overall, I was really pleased with the three matches,” Eason said. “We got down a couple of times in each match and were able to come back. We have to work on finishing when we get a big lead, we’re still getting used to one another, but overall I was very pleased with them as a unit.”
Eason is taking over a Lady Dragons program that lost nine seniors to graduation after earning an outright district championship last year.
Bangs will resume tournament action Saturday.
