A Brownwood man pleaded guilty recently to multiple drug offenses in 35th District Court and was sentenced to 40 years in prison, according to information from District Attorney Micheal Murray's office.

John Phillip Couch, 53, pleaded guilty before District Judge Steve Ellis to two offenses of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Enrique Pesina pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Christina Gomez pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Eric Jones pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance and was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Valentina Chelette pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was sentenced to four years in prison.

Stephen Wayne Meade pleaded guilty to DWI and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Steven Cliff Perkins pleaded guilty to unlawful possession of a firearm and was sentenced to five years in prison.
