Organizations with booths at this weekend's Brownwood Reunion Celebration will include the Brown County Elections Office.

Representatives of the office will be set up in a tent to assist people who voting-related functions including getting people registered to vote, Elections Administrator Suzy Young said.

"We'll be looking people up to see if they are registered or if they need an address change," Young said. "We can take names if they need ballots by mail."

Representatives of the office will have computers in the tent and will be available to help with anything that has to do with voting, Young said.

The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 4 election is Oct. 6, Young said. "October will be here in just a few days," she said.

Elections representatives will be sharing a tent with the Republican Women's club, Young said, and she wants people to know her office isn't partisan despite that arrangement. It's purely a matter of cost, Young said.

"The reason we're doing that is to save money," she said.
