A reception honoring Brown County Court-at-Law Judge Frank Griffin will be held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, in the court-at-law courtroom on the second floor of the Brown County Courthouse.
Griffin, who has been judge of the court since 2003, lost his seat to challenger Sam Moss in the Brown County Republican Party primary election in March and leaves office Dec. 31.
Griffin graduated from Brownwood High School in 1972, from Howard Payne University in 1976, and from Baylor Law School in 1978.
Griffin served 12 years in the Army Reserve and Texas National Guard. Griffin has also worked as county attorney, prosecutor and private-practice attorney.
Moss currently works as first assistant district attorney in District Attorney Micheal Murray’s office.
