A Brownwood man was arrested late Friday night in lieu of a $10,000 bond after being caught with his third DWI offense.

Brownwood Police Department arrested Joey Egger, 46, about a half an hour before midnight after the officer observed a blue passenger car halted at a stop sign at the corner of West Chandler and Melwood. The vehicle presented a faulty brake light on its passenger side, according to jail records.

When the officer made the stop, Egger was then arrested for the DWI.

According to a police report:

An officer pulled over and arrested Faith Nicole Griffin on possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a driverís license.

Her silver Nissan vehicle had driven by the 2600 block of Elizabeth Drive, where the officer, who was nearby, noticed the vehicle displayed defective license plate lights. The officer then arrested the woman a block down after performing a U-turn and activating the emergency overhead lighting.

A white Ford sedan was traveling 7 mph above the speed limit around the 2500 block South East Drive, a 30 mph zone, which led to the arrest of McAndrew Terrell Norman, who was arrested while driving with an invalid license with previous convictions and failure to maintain financial responsibility. The vehicle was pulled over at the 2700 block of South East Drive.

Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Dartmore Street in regard to an assault, which led to the arrest of Ashley Nicole Hubbard of Brownwood for an assault that caused bodily injury.

Others booked into the Brown County Jail between Friday and Monday were:

Jason Bell, 38, striking an unattended vehicle.

Michael Dakota Cross, 22, second offense of DWI.

Tony Randall Holmes, 56, DWI and theft.

James Lee Kinsey, 25, multiple charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Cody Ray Stegall, 22, speeding in a school zone.

Aubrey Lynn Stout, 56, two charges of assault.
