COLEMAN — Funeral services for Dayton Hohmann, 84, of Novice, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Henderson Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Denise Sager officiating. Burial will follow at Rough Creek. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the funeral home.
He died Sunday, April 11, 2015 at Holiday Hill Nursing Home.
He was born on April 14, 1930 in Fredricksburg, to Walmar Ben and Sophia Anna Lee Wilke Hohmann. In 1948, he married Peggy J. Alexander in Tow. On Nov. 13, 2004, he married Nelda Otto in Coleman. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korea and Vietnam wars and retired following 22 years of service as a Chief Master Sargent. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church and a Master MasonGrand Prairie Lodge 1356. ayton was a resident and rancher in Coleman County since 1982.
Survivors include wife, Nelda Hohmann of Novice; sons, Darrel Hohmann and wife Ireanne of San Angelo and Richard Hohmann and wife Rebecca of McKinney; sisters, Alice Bingham and husband Jay of Burnet and Erline Sager and husband Allen of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Walmar Hohmann and wife Sharon of San Angelo; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy Hohmann; a son, Ronnie L. Hohmann; one sister; and two brothers.
