Alcorta struck out 11 batters and walked just one, which is all that kept the Longhorn hurler from a perfect game.
Offensively, Early (14-5, 7-0) tallied two runs in the first inning, one in the second, six in the fifth and three in the sixth.
The Longhorns’ 10-hit attack included two each from Abel Hernandez, Grant Fanara, Cojo Guidry and Christopher Johnston — who drove in three runs. David Morales added two RBIs and a single, while Christian Alcorta finished with one hit and one RBI.
Early hosts Brady at 7 p.m. Friday.
