A Brownwood woman with three Eastland County warrants was arrested along with a Brownwood man on drug charges after a traffic stop in Brownwood late Wednesday afternoon.
Sheriff’s narcotics detective Robert Ramirez arrested Donna Carroll, 44, of Cisco, on the Eastland County warrants to revoke probation, and on a new charge of possession of a controlled substance, Brown County Jail records state, Ramirez arrested Daniel Quintanilla, 46, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
According to Ramirez’s report:
Ramirez and deputy Carlyle Gover, also a narcotics detective, were working as a two-man criminal interdiction unit when Ramirez saw a traffic violation and stopped the vehicle in the area of U.S. Highway 377 South and Brady Avenue.
The driver and passenger showed signs of nervousness, and Ramirez learned the passenger had warrants. The driver gave consent to search the vehicle, and the deputies found a pipe with methamphetamine residue. Both were arrested without incident.
In unrelated incidents, Brownwood police were dispatched Wednesday morning to the 2500 block of Good Shepherd, where numerous vehicle burglaries had occurred overnight.

John Wilkerson, 28, Brownwood, parole violation, traffic warrants, bond withdrawals for evidence tampering and possession of marijuana.
Brooke Brand, 29, Brownwood, traffic warrants.
Jose Segovia, 48, Brownwood, traffic warrant.
Charles Shaw, 27, Brownwood, traffic warrant, violating promise to appear.
Christopher Taylor, 30, Brownwood, driving with invalid license.
