Head Start students got a special visit from the Brownwood Fire Department on Tuesday, Sept. 29th. Firemen showed students how they put on gear, what the truck sirens sound like, and talked about how they can save people and put out fires.

Students were also given the opportunity to pet Nika, the fire dog, and learn a little about what the dog is trained to do. In addition, the fire chief brought each student a coloring book and a fire hat.

Head Start staff expressed their thanks to the Brownwood Fire Department, the chief and firefighters as well as Mrs. Stone for coordinating this opportunity for the students.
