EARLY — For the fourth consecutive year, Bruner Toyota has received the Toyota President’s Award, recognizing the dealership for its achievement in several areas in 2014.
The dealership, part of the Bruno Auto Family, was recognized for meeting or exceeding several criteria in the areas of customer satisfaction, customer retention and Toyota market share for sales volume.
“To receive the President’s Award four years in a row is really something special,” said Bruner Auto Family CEO Dwain Bruner. “We are proud of our employees and promise to continue working hard for our customers.”
Brett Brown, district sales manager for Gulf States Toyota, congratulated the Bruner team, saying there is a “very small percentage” of Toyota dealers who can meet all of Toyota’s criteria for the award. Brown said the award goes to all of the employees “from the technician to the porter to the sales person … it’s an entire group effort to get this.”
Greg Bruner, president of Bruner Auto Family, said, “what’s exciting to me is that customer satisfaction and retention are both qualifications for wearing this award. … I’m proud to be a dealer for Toyota who acknowledges the hard work of its dealers and employees.”
Bruner Toyota sales manager Mickel Perkins said he thinks the dealership is on track to receive the award for 2015.
The Bruners have received previous awards including include Dwain and Greg Bruner received the Family Business of the Year award presented by Baylor University in 2011.
The Bruner family acquired the Chevrolet and Toyota dealerships in Brownwood in 2007. Four generations of Bruners have owned and operated Chevrolet dealerships in Texas. Bruner Motors has received numerous General Motors honors including the Family Business Award, presented by the Texas Automobile Dealers Association in 2005.
