The Brown County Commissioners’ Court has set a special meeting for Monday at 9 a.m. at the Brown County Courthouse to discuss a bevy of issues.
Nina Cox, who serves as county auditor, will address the consideration and possible approval of the 2016 Brown County Indigent Defense Grant Program participation resolution.
The program allots grant funding to counties for the implementation and improvement of indigent criminal defense services in the county.
Captain Vance Hill, of the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, has a pair of items up for discussion on the agenda. Captain Hill will discuss employee changes with the commissioners, along with the “consideration and possible approval to purchase gas mask and canisters for the tactical team.
County Judge Ray West also has a pair of items up for discussion at the meeting.
The first item is the “consideration and possible approval for a part-time fill in for the Brown County Maintenance department. Also on the agenda is “consideration and possible approval for a part-time fill in for Brown County Court Administrator.”
Commissioner Joel Kelton has placed on the agenda an item pertaining to the “consideration and possible approval of action regarding the burn ban.”
