SANGER — Laura Lee Galloway (nee Byars) died in Corinth Rehab Hospital on Nov. 21, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. due to congestive heart failure. She was 70 years old.
Laura was born in Calexico, Calif. on June 28, 1945 to Ruby and Eli Byars. Her father, Eli, was a Marine Sergeant stationed in San Diego, Calif. Before she was a year old, Laura and her family moved to Brownwood, where she lived through her elementary school years. They then moved to Early, where she graduated from Early High School in 1963. On Jan. 28, 1966, Laura married Bryan R. Galloway in Brownwood.
Laura is survived by her husband of almost 50 years; her two children, Paul Galloway of Houston and Ruby Henline of Sanger; 10 grandchildren; and her two brothers, Terry Byars of Zephyr and Jim Byars, of Brownwood.
There will be a viewing at the Coker Funeral Home in Sanger from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel at 1801 Malone Street in Denton.
There will be a second visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2015 at Heartland Funeral Home in Early and a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at Zephyr Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
