Lyric comedy continues six more shows
“Moon Over Buffalo,” which opened for a two-week run last Thursday at the Lyric Theatre, will continue this week with six more shows scheduled. Performances are booked for 2:30 p.m. today, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with matinees at 2:30 p.m. Friday and Sunday, Sept. 25.
“This is really a funny show,” director Caitlyn Tidwell said. “It’s very well written.”
The full-length comedy by Ken Ludwig is about a couple of traveling actors — past their prime — who get a chance at fame once again, but their opportunity in Hollywood becomes complicated by various pitfalls that unfold. Set in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1953, the situational comedy features fast-paced action and physical performances by the players.
Charlotte Hay is played by Holli Blanton, George Hay is played by Larry Mathis, Rosalind is played by Billie Harvey, Eileen is played by April Alexander, Howard is played by Nicholas Ewen, Paul is played by Jonathan Harvey, Ethel is played by Patti Kilpatrick and Richard is played by Doug House.
Admittance to this show is included in the patron ticket package sold by the Lyric at the first of the year. Ticket prices will be $12 for adults and $8 for students. Online ticketing is available at www.brownwoodlyrictheatre.com.
