Brown County Sheriff’s officials released additional details Friday on the two unrelated drug busts in Brownwood Thursday afternoon which resulted in charges against four people, with at least one additional person expected to be charged.

Three people were booked into the Brown County Jail following a search and arrest warrant at Camelot Lot Apartments on Slayden Street, across from Brownwood High School jail records show.

The search warrant was the result of an investigation into he distribution of high-grade marijuana, a report by sheriff’s narcotics detective Carlyle Gover states.

According to jail records:

• Joseph Ferguson, 31, was booked on two charges of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana. Ferguson is free on bonds totaling $41,500.

• Bryan Hosch, 33, was booked on charges of possession of a controlled substance in a drug free zone and possession of marijuana. Hosch is free on bonds totaling $7,000.

According to a report by sheriff’s narcotics detective Carlyle Gover:

Deputies executed a search and arrest warrant that named Ferguson at Camelot Apartments. Two women including Fenton and Ferguson were inside Ferguson’s apartment, and Hosch, who possessed 12 grams of high-grade marijuana, was outside in front of the apartment, Gover’s report states.

In the apartment, deputies seized methamphetamine, high-grade marijuana, a pipe with “wax” residue, six Xanax tablets and narcotics paraphernalia. Deputies also seized $740 in cash.

Hosch agreed to surrender more narcotics at his home on FM 45, Gover’s report states. Capt. James Stroope and narcotics detective Robert Ramirez traveled with Hosch to his home, where he surrendered resinous “wax” extractives of cannibis.

A report written by Ramirez gave details of the Avenue I search warrant.

Deputies found 4 ounces of high-grade marijuana, digital scales and packing materials, as well as anabolic steroids and prescription medication.

DeLeon, the home’s only occupant, was arrested.
