A traffic stop and a domestic disturbance led to the arrests of two Brownwood men on drug charges in unrelated cases.
    Shawn Davison, 38, and Gerald Duffy, 47, were booked into the Brown County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance, jail records state. Davison was also charged with evidence tampering, and Duffy was charged with assault.
    According to reports from the Brown County Sheriff’s Office and Brownwood Police Department:
    Sheriff’s narcotics investigator Carlyle Gover received information that a man was distributing narcotics for another individual. Gover and narcotics detective Robert Ramirez watched the man as he stood in front of a business near Commerce Square for 30 minutes. The man got into a car occupied by two other people including Davison.
    Gover made a traffic stop on a traffic violation and called for the Early Police Department’s K-9 unit. The drug dog, Jambo, alerted on the car. Deputies searched the car and found a small amount of methamphetamine alleged to have been Davison’s.
    In the other incident, police were dispatched to a home on Apache Court in Brownwood on a domestic disturbance.
    Police arrested Duffy on an assault charge and added a drug charge after finding methamphetamine in the back of a patrol car.

    Carmen Moore, 43, Brownwood, driving with invalid license.
    Linley Rinehart, 35, Brownwood, motion to adjudicate for driving with invalid license.
    Joshua Stovall, 41, Early, possession of a controlled substance.
