The Early Economic Development Corporation has agreed to fund $10,000 to the soon-to-be Central Texas Farm Credit bank.

The funds will be used for the bank’s telecommunications and Internet infrastructure,” Executive Director Shawn Russell said.

The City of Early approved the funding request at a recent council meeting. The bank, located at 1026 Early Blvd., is expected to be complete sometime in May, according to Russell, after first breaking ground in June of last year.

The bank will be the new headquarters of Central Texas Farm Credit after serving in Coleman.

Russell said the bank would have 16 employees, all of whom will be assembled through workers at the current Central Texas Farm Credit bank (1038 Early Blvd.), transfers from other branches and future hires.

Other branch locations include Brady, Coleman, Comanche, Haskell, San Angelo and San Saba.
