A Brown County author of children’s books will have a signing for her latest publication this weekend at Hastings.
Copies of Linda Eoff’s recently professionally published book, A Fence Post Cowboy, will be up for sale and available for signing by the May woman from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Brownwood entertainment store located at 600 N. Center Ave.
The content and story of Post Cowboy, published by Tate Publishing & Enterprises, LLC, follows the stories and adventures of a character based on her grandson growing up on their west-central Texas farm as s kid.
The small, rectangular-shaped book features 18 pages of content focusing on Jeremy, a light brown-haired kid who has dreams of being a cowboy with his spotty dog and “sidekick” named Pete.
Eoff, who began writing poetry since she was a junior high student at Bangs, has self-published two collections of original poems — Roses for Grandma and My Bountiful Garden — throughout her writing career.
Professionally, she has also published two others — Pitter Patter: God’s Little Drops of Rain, and A Country Morning, also published through Tate Publishing — both of which are also related to stories about her grandchildren.
Eoff would sometimes read her literature to her students when she taught at Early Church of Christ Tuesday Sonshine School.
