Tickets for this weekend’s Brown County Rodeo are on sale at various surrounding locations.
Tickets will be sold for $8 for adults and $3 for children at the following Brown County locations: KOXE, both Citizens National Bank locations, including the branch at Walmart, Scott’s Western Wear, Leon River Mercantile, Texas Bank and Diamond R Store & Café.
The prices at the gate at Earl Q. Wilson Arena are $10 for adults and $5 for children. The annual three-day rodeo is scheduled Thursday through Saturday, with each night starting at 8 p.m.
Tim “the wild thang” Lepard will be the rodeo clown. Announcer is TC Long. Rodeo contractor is James Andrews Rodeo Company, known for the legendary bucking bull, Bodacious, and the special riding team will be the Lone Star Cowgirls.
Grand marshals for the rodeo parade — which will take place a through the streets of downtown at 10 a.m. Saturday— are Dudley Walker and Wayne Pittman.
Residents may enter their floats or vehicles in the parade at no charge. Entry forms are available at brownwoodchamber.com. The forms may be returned to the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce at 600 E. Depot St.
Participants in the parade should begin lining up at 8:30 a.m. at the Brownwood Coliseum for award judging. Awards will be presented for best in-town float, best out-of-town float, riding club awards, best decorated vehicles, best antique vehicles, best horse drawn vehicles and best bikes/unicycle.
