The Early Chamber of Commerce is still accepting volunteers and taking sponsorships for this year’s Early Pioneer Days.
The chamber is currently offering sponsorships that range from $200-$3,000. Executive Director Shawn Russell said four $3,000 sponsorships are currently available for the two-day event (Sept. 16-17).
After purchasing, the buyer would have his/her business on the back of T-shirts and mentioned for Pioneer Days’ media. The $3,000 sponsorship banners would be displayed during the Sept. 17 concert. The Chamber announced earlier this week that popular Texas country music group Casey Donahew Band is the headliner. Abilene-based band Callahan Divide will hit the stage before Donahew.
As for volunteers, Russell said, “Any help for any amount of time, we can sign them up to our team.
“Volunteers are what make events like this possible for our community,” she added. “We want to bring tourists in and help us grow our economy. That’s what this is all about. That’s why we do what we do and love what we do.”
Early’s biggest event of the year has drawn tourists from surrounding towns and outside Brown County.
“We wouldn’t be able to do this without the businesses in our community,” Russell said.
