A California-based motorsport company is coming to Brownwood this weekend to put on a monster truck show in west-central Texas.
The company, named Monster Truck Night of Fire and Thrills Spectacular, will render monster truck goers Saturday the excitement of pickups — equipped with large wheels and suspension —riding through the Brown County Fairgrounds, located off U.S. Highway 377 South in Brownwood. Gates open at 5 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30.
Tickets are on sale for this weekend’s monster truck show at radio station KOXE (300 Carnegie St.) and both Trans Texas Tire shops in Brownwood (109 S. Broadway St, and 706 W. Commerce St).
Tickets are $16 for those aged 13 and older, and $10 for ages 3-12.
The show will also feature the following: a jet fire show, a Hollywood thrill show and rides for the kids.
Monster trucks are typically used for competition and sports entertainment. Saturday will likely feature these tall vehicles — some tower as high as 12 feet — to crush smaller ones under its massive tires.
