Tuesday is National Night Out for Brown County and area residents are getting ready to hold block parties to meet neighbors and local law enforcement.

This year, dozens of block parties are scheduled across the county in Brownwood, Early, Bangs, and several rural locations.

The Brownwood and Early Police Departments; the Brown County Sheriff’s office; area fire departments; along with other city and county officials will visit these parties taking place between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

This year’s National Night Out is sponsored locally by Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers, 3M Company, Hendrick Surgery Center, ATMOS Energy, Oncor, TexasBank, and Weldon Wilson Electric.
