The Brown County Museum of History will offer special activities on Saturday, especially for younger children, and then on Oct. 29 and Oct. 31 for older youth.
A “Kid Fun Day” will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, when real pumpkins will be available to decorate, and then take home or to relatives for fall decorations. Cost will be $5 each.
Youngsters can paint the pumpkin, glue ears on it, or draw a funny face. No cutting of the pumpkin is planned.
Exhibits and the usual displays will also be available. For information, call (325) 641-1926.
For older groups, the museum will feature a “haunted jail” Monster Quest from 7:30 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, Oct. 29.
Then on Halloween, Monday, Oct. 31, a Zombie Lockdown will be featured from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. Tickets cost $5 each. A Haunted Museum Tour starting every 15 minutes will be available for children under age 10.
