A Brownwood man is free on bonds totaling $200,000 after he was arrested Wednesday on allegations that he sexually assaulted two young teenage girls.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Pete Bastardo arrested Blake Whitehead, 29, on two warrants for aggravated sexual assault of a child and one warrant for indecency with a child, Brown County Jail records state.
According to a complaint filed by sheriff’s Sgt. Scott Bird:
Bird began an investigation after receiving a report by deputy Shade Tidwell. One of the girls made an outcry to a family member that she and the other girl were sexually assaulted by an older man.
The girls went to the man’s house earlier the month, where they watched movies, played basketball and watched movies. The girls returned to a home where one of the girls lives, snuck out a bedroom window later and went back to the man’s house, where sexual activity occurred.
Bird retrieved text messages from one of the girls’ phone that indicated a relationship between one of the girls and the man.
