The Pecan Valley Republican Women’s Club would like to invite members of the community to attend their upcoming monthly meeting featuring Katie Lang as guest speaker at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at the Fellowship Hall of the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1800 Good Shepherd Dr. The hall will open at 5:45 p.m., and light refreshments will be served. Lang is a very accomplished Conservative woman, with experience in several fields with a history of giving back to the community. She will be speaking on the importance to stand by your principles and convictions as it pertains to your faith and the Constitution of the United States. As she so demonstrated when put to the test while working as a County Clerk.  

Lang has developed a strong bond with her community, proven she is reliable and dependable, and more importantly a bearer of high personal standards as attested those that have worked closely with her.

Lang demonstrated her strength and resolve as a Conservative Woman as she worked tirelessly, supporting her husband Representative Mike Lang. as a candidate for Texas House District 60 Representative. Mike won the election and is working hard to represent our district and continues to  depend on Katie’s love and support and belief in him,  as he strives to work for the interests of the people in his district. Katie is an example to women that are striving to make a difference in their communities.

In the past, Lang worked as an award winning video producer/director with 5- Telly Awards and over 28 years in the film industry. She holds a Major in Art Education and a Minor in Studio Art from  Kent State University. 

Her leadership skills have allowed her to work with clients and industry experts to bring projects from creative concept to finished product. As project manager, Katie is goal oriented, insightful and driven to make sure her team is successful on every operation.

Lang served on several organizations in her community. She was a Vice President in charge of the Programs (lining up speakers) for the Republican club from 2014 to 2015.

 She served on the Hood County Women’s Republican Club as Second Vice President and helped with Membership. She also created the Newsletter every month from 2014 to 2015. And for the Hood County Tea Party she served as a media person for several years.

Lang and her husband Mike moved to Granbury in 2004. They have a son, Ryan, who lives and works in Fort Worth and attends UTA in Arlington. Mike and Katie Lang have been happily married for 21 years and are pleased to call Granbury their home.
