Friday, Feb. 2 is National Wear Red Day for Women in conjunction with the Go Red for Women campaign.
    The goals of the Go Red for Women campaign are to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and to give women knowledge and motivation to take charge of their health.
    The Brown County Heart Association is selling T-shirts to support this effort. Wearing the design created by Willie’s T’s is a simple but powerful way to raise awareness of heart disease and stroke.
    By joining thousands of companies, organizations and cities across America, participants will help the American Heart Association support ongoing research and education about heart disease, which is the number one killer of women.   
    Prepaid orders may be placed with Early Blooms, K LeShae’s and Mid-Tex Federal Credit Union.
     Pricing for short-sleeve T-shirts in sizes Youth XS through Adult XL is $11.00. Adult 2XL shirts are $13, and 3XL shirts are $15. Long Sleeve shirts are also available. Orders must be placed by Jan. 24.
